Wuhan Local Specialties:
Cailinji Hot Dry Noodle

Hot-dry noodles are an essential part of the Wuhan diet, eaten by almost everyone daily at breakfast time.

Hot-dry noodle are made by cooking the fresh noodles mixed with sesame oil in boiling water, when the noodle has cooked and cooled, it becomes pliable. The noodles are then placed in boiling water again to be reheated and the process is repeated. After seasoning has been added, including spring onion and sauce, the hot-dry noodle is ready to be served.

A bowl of these delicious noodles only cost you less than $1. The best place to sample this is in the Cailingji Noodle Store(Address: 854, Zhongshan Avenue, Wuhan).

The restaurant was established by a cook named Cai, a disciple of the inventor of the noodle (in China) at the beginning of this century.

Turquoise:

Sky blue to bluish green. The name means "Turkish stone". Turquoise is porous, so contact with liquids, oils or even perspiration should be avoided. Jewelry made with turquoise should be removed before washing hands, etc.. The pure blue color is rare, most stones contain the matrix from which it was found. Although the stones without matrix are rarer and more valuable, many people find the black matrix attractive, and makes the stone unique.
Spectacular Qutang, elegant Wu and majestic Xiling - they are no illusion but truly world wonders, even after the big dam is complete. Let images in our gallery be your guidance when planning your next China Trip.
