The
fleet of M. S. Issabella Series is famous for having highly ranked
Chinese Government officials and other honored personages on its guest
list. The fleet has Issabella 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, all built in similar
styles and structures but not that in terms of interor decorations
and room layouts. All these ships are up to international 3-star standard.
First launched in 1987 with its old name Longzhong, M. S. Issabella
2 is 79 meters long and 16 meters wide, with a draft of 2.5 meters
and 2640 h. p.. She will be sailing between Yichang and Chongqing
in 2009, with a maximum speed of 27.5 kilometers per hour in still
water. Though one of the relatively older cruise ships sailing on
Yangtze, it looks quite young after recent year’s renovations.
It features 5 deluxe suites and 71 standard cabins with a total capacity
of 152 passengers. The standard cabin is 12 square meter big and deluxe
suite is twice about that size. Facilities include central air-conditioning,
closed circuit TV, satellite telephone and broadcasting system. The
room attendants will clean the room and make the bed for you everyday.
There is a Chinese dining room and a Western dining room. When dining
aboard, passengers are arranged with ten persons as a group based
on nationalities, diet habits, religious or other cultural backgrounds.
The dining room can hold 160 people, which means all passengers with
one seating. On board you also will find coffeehouse, video cinema,
bar, ballroom, karaoke, gift shop, beauty parlor. Other services such
as laundry, massage, international telecommunication, credit cards
service are also provided. There is a swimming pool on sun deck, which
is rarely seen on Yangtze cruise ships. Artistic performances are
available on board occasionally. |
